The American Family Insurance Amphitheater recently completed a $51.3 million renovation, transforming the premier music venue into a world class music experience for both fans and performers. It will feature enhanced production capabilities, reimagined food and beverage options, increased accessibility, new hospitality and amenities, new seating bowl configuration with improved sightlines, new concourses, and more. Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) is responsible for planning, promoting and producing Summerfest, The World’s Largest Music Festival,™ as well as a variety of events at the Henry Maier Festival Park, situated on 75 acres along the shores of Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee. The property is the setting for a series of events, concerts, and festivals.

With Lake Michigan as its backdrop, the BMO Harris Pavilion is home to numerous concerts and special events throughout the year.  The venue can accommodate 5,000 patrons in reserved seating, along with a large general-admission area, and features state-of-the-art production and sound.  Dramatic architecture, including the iconic wave-inspired roof, along with its picturesque setting, create the ideal backdrop for fans to enjoy music in the unique outdoor setting of the BMO Harris Pavilion.  Hosting 11 nights of headliners on an annual basis at Summerfest, the venue has also seen artists like Lorde, Vampire Weekend, Steely Dan, 21 Pilots, and Diana Ross.  Sign up for BMO Harris Pavilion updates here.

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. is an independent, private 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1965 that produces Summerfest, presented by American Family Insurance, a three-weekend festival that typically generates approximately $187 million in economic impact for the community each year.  Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. also maintains and improves Henry Maier Festival Park, located on 75 acres on the shores of Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, WI.  In addition to Summerfest, Henry Maier Festival Park hosts a variety of ethnic and cultural festivals, concerts, walks, runs, and other special events, attracting nearly 1.3 million people. 

The mission of the organization is to promote an understanding of different ethnic cultures, histories, and traditions of various nationalities, harmony in the community, civic pride and provide a showcase for performing arts, activities, and recreation for the public and employment opportunities for the youth of the community.

Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance has evolved into what is now recognized as “The World’s Largest Music Festival” and Milwaukee’s cornerstone summer celebration, hosting the music industry’s biggest acts, emerging talent and local favorites along with approximately 750,000 fans, for an unforgettable live music experience. Summerfest got its start one year prior to Woodstock, in 1968, and today features over 1,000 performances on 12 stages, along with food, beverages, and activities, all in a world-class festival setting on the shores of Lake Michigan, on 75 acres.
